OK, so this is the first post in the music section. I'll attempt to publish atleast 5 songs, which you might enjoy listening to - each month.

In no particular order of preference, here they are.

1 ~ The Treehouse Song by Ane Brun

Ane Brun album cover art

Easy listening modern country music.

Her voice is almost husky but smooth at the same time.
The ideal moment to listen to her music is on a sunny day out in the park or over a cup of coffee.

The fact it's easy listening/country music doesn't mean it's going to suck.

2 ~ Old Man Emu by The Wayfarers

The Wayfarers - improvised cover art

What can I say, this song is a joke that will make you laugh in wonder... of why they even bothered to make this.

By the way - I couldn't find any cover art for this band. So 'The Wayfarers' you see, will have to do!

3 ~ Everyday I love You Less And Less by the Kaiser Chiefs - Employment

album cover art

I just love listening to this song when i'm working out in the gym or simply need something to lift my spirits!

The rhythm just puts me in the spirited mode, where I imagine i'm dancing on hot coles and loving it.

4 ~ Pink Stream by Sonic Youth - Rather Ripped

album cover art

The beginning of the song just puts you at complete ease - then it completely transitions into a harder beat.

Hardly any singing, just a constant rhythm of instruments like the guitar and drums until the last 2mins of the song.

Really worth listening too.

5 ~ Tuning In (H! Kitsune Mix) by Hadouken! - Not Here To Please You

album cover art

This is a bit of a mental song but funny as well.

Again - it's another song i'd recommend for working out in the gym or for getting in the mode for a night out.

Enjoy the video I linked to. It's totally bonkers!

'Awesome cool thing'

I just received this wonderful surprise of an email from a dear friend.

Knowing i'm a bit of a sucker for the arts - he sent me a link to this really cool site. They sell all kinds of art work, ranging from fine canvases to bathroom wallpaper.

flickr - a source of wonderful images

Sometimes, there's a need to find some really spectacular pictures for a site design. Instead of paying an arm and a leg for images - you may want to try flickr.

There are literally lots of images available - that can be used, so long as the owner of an image gives you the nod.

Electrelane

OK - I'm having a nostalgic moment.

This female band from Brighton had been around for some time and I have really fond memories of watching them play at gigs.

It saddens me however - knowing that they are on indefinite hiatus.

OK, so the MTV VMA awards have been and gone. And just like last year it was awesome!

What made it awesome - you might wonder?

Russel Brand! He made it all so entertaining to watch. From his remarks about Lady Gaga being a hermaphrodite to serious
